ISU Echague University Library Conducts its 1st In-House Library Staff Development Program


The ISU Echague University Library Staff had their 1st in-service training held at the E-Library Section, University Library, Isabela State University, Echague, Isabela on March 31, 2023 at 9:30AM to 12:00 noon with the theme: “Lecture and Hands-on Tutorial on Network Security Fundamentals”. The Resource person is Mr. Isidro J. Dumaguing, Jr., E-Library In-charge. He said that this activity helps the library staff upgrade their competencies in the field of Information Technology specifically on Network Security. 

Dr. Betsie M. Dela Cruz, University Director for Library Services delivered her welcome remarks and statement of purpose of the activity. She stated that this in-service training is one of the library staff development activities that create awareness on network security which goal is to keep the network running and safe for all legitimate users. She also stressed that this activity is an implementation of what is integrated in the Library’s Action Plan.

In addition, Dr. Juliet D. Villanueva who served as the EMCEE of the said activity shared her personal insights on the importance of conducting in-house training. She emphasized that having such activity regularly will help them update their knowledge and skills which in turn help to improve their job performance in their work assignments.
