Library Staff Development Program
On September 7, 2023, the library staff had their 5th Staff Development Program held at the Reference Section of the University Library in Echague, Isabela. The topic of financial literacy and wellness was ably discussed by the invited competent resource speakers, namely: Mrs. Eliza Gallardo and Mr. Nelson B. Pintang.
It was pointed out by Mrs. Gallardo that financial literacy requires skills that would help individuals properly manage their financial status. She added that one should have knowledge on how to budget properly in order to save for the future. She also articulated that parents who have children in the elementary should already teach them to save as early as possible and discussed with them the importance of saving for a brighter future. There were also discussed strategies for saving that could potentially assist library staff in managing their finances.
